As part of our Live Well Sterwardship emphasis, 73 members of Gloria Dei participated in a walk to Jerusalem (via Romania where the Schlachtenhaufens have ministered), Martin, South Dakota (where our youth will serve on a mission trip this summer) and South Africa (where our missionary partners, the Konkols, currently serve). Supported by prayer and encouraged by weekly mileage updates, participants tallied more than 12,500 miles during this symbolic journey that spanned the Lenten season from February 14 through April 4, 2010. Along with the walking effort, Gloria Dei collected 182 pairs of shoes for donation to Souls4Souls®
