Gloria Dei offers a liturgical worship in the tradition of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  At worship we join together to praise and give thanks to our God and to hear the Word and receive the salvation of Jesus Christ.  We find meaning, comfort, and joy in listening, confessing and praying together, and singing as a fellowship of believers in the power of the Holy Spirit.  We leave ready to serve in our lives and to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.

Make Music With Us

Music Intended for the Soul,
Psalm 150

Lutherans are a music-loving people.  Our worship is music-filled.  We are inspired by the great hymns of the past and by contemporary Christian composers.  Below is as example of church music in the making . . . from an interview and performance broadcast on "Grace Matters," a radio ministry of the ELCA.  Reverend Peter Marty introduces us to Jonathan Rundman and his music, Music Intended for the Soul, Psalm 150

"There is no venue where
Jonathan Rundman hasn’t performed. Church basements, convention halls, coffee shops, college auditoriums, and church sanctuaries have all formed the backdrop for this talented singer and songwriter. Rundman is well known in the Christian community for his sound theology, his biblical depth, and his creative melodies. A brief taste of his character and life, as this broadcast includes, explains why Rundman is one for the faithful to know."

Adult, Youth, and Children's choirs support our worship and provide opportunities to share the joy of music.

Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM and sings alternately at the 8:00 and 10:30 services during the fall, winter, and spring seasons.  In summer, choir members and others in the congregation and community provide special music at our single service on Sundays.

Youth Choir practices on Wednesdays prior to confirmation classes.  Children's Choir practice during the Christian Education hour on Sundays. These choirs sing each month and on special occasions at worship.

Each year the children and youth present a special Christmas program.
